The Syndicate Trust Youth Trophy semi-finals at Lightfoot Green produced two excellent games which both went to extra time and resulted in victories for Mill Hill and Fulwood Amateurs. Mill Hill faced Cadley and were behind after just 7 minutes to a James Fowler strike, but Mill Hill equalised through Macken Slater on 29 minutes the score at full time was 1-1. Slater was on hand to give Mill Hill the lead after 119 minutes and he completed his hat trick from the penalty spot on 129 minutes with virtually the last kick of the game.

Winstanley Warriors faced Fulwood Amateurs on the adjacent pitch and the deadlock was broken on 35 minutes when Lewis Dunn fired Winstanley into the lead from a free kick on the right. This was also a closely contested game with Winstanley defending resolutely to hold on to their lead. Their defences were finally breached after 85 minutes through an excellent header from Harrison Walsh which brought Amateurs level and took the tie into extra time. The game was decided on the stroke of half time in extra time when Ellis Wallbank took advantage to score from a goalmouth scramble.

The Syndicate Trust Youth Trophy Final will be played at Bamber Bridge FC on Wednesday 27 March 2019, kick off 7.30pm.
